Broken is a state, not a surprise.
Mark a unit unserviceable and it can’t be handed out until it is fixed. Losses and write-offs are recorded with a reason.
Consumables, counted as they are used.
Batteries, gloves and spare parts are dispensed to people and counted, so the low-stock list tells you what to reorder.
No account can edit the history.
